Horticulture Series: “Four Years of Gardening - Challenges and Lessons Learned,” by Master Gardener Volunteer Trainee, Amalia Anderson
6:30 pm at the Calumet Public Library
On June 19th at the Calumet Public Library, Master Gardener Volunteer Trainee Amalia Anderson will talk about the challenges and joys of gardening in Calumet. In her words, “I’ve been gardening in the Calumet area for four years. During this time, I've made lots of mistakes and have learned a lot. The challenges have run the gamut, from old plants to new pests. In this lecture I'll share what I've learned and where I go to find scientifically based answers when I run into a new problem that needs solving.”
Join other gardeners, new and experienced, to discuss the challenges and lessons learned in gardening locally; find solutions to nagging problems and pose questions stemming from your own experiences. This is the first in a three-part Horticulture Series to be held on the third Wednesday of June, July, and August at the Calumet Public Library.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Calumet Public Library.
For more information, visit the library or call 337-0311 ext. 1107
(In case of bad weather, when school is cancelled, all library programs are cancelled.)
